Accessibility
Accessing the building
Our church building was opened in 1865 and is Grade II* listed, but we have worked hard to make it as accessible as possible to those with mobility challenges.
The main double doors at the front of the church are accessed via 2 small steps, however there is wheelchair-accessible entry via the side door on the Ramshill Road side of the church.
There is a further wheelchair-accessible entrance on the Albion Crescent side of the church, leading to The Beacon Hall.
Inside the Church
The body of the church is furnished with Victorian pews, but there are two accessible spaces for wheelchairs, one on each of the outer aisles.
There is a small step up into both side chapels (The Prayer Chapel on the left and The Heritage Chapel on the right).
The church is fitted with an induction-loop system for the benefit of hearing-aid users and is used at all services.
At some points in the service the preacher may invite the congregation to stand; you are welcome to remain seated if this is more comfortable for you.
The Sacrament of Holy Communion (first Sunday in the month) is served to all in their seats, so there is no need to come forward.
The Beacon Hall
The hall can be accessed from inside the main body of the church, or via the side door on Albion Crescent by following the path around the left-hand side of the building. There is a bell on the door should you need assistance.
The kitchen is accessible from the hall. Please be aware, the kitchen aisles are narrow, however there is turning space at the ends.

Toilet facilities
Toilet and baby-changing facilities are accessed via a level corridor between the main church body and The Beacon Hall. There are male and female toilets, as well as an accessible toilet with wheelchair-accessibility and grab rails. There is a wall-mounted baby-changing unit located in the accessible toilet.
